You know, I think that Ken Watanabe would make a good Lieutenant in a live action Legend of Korra (made by anyone but M. Night Shyamalan, pls)! And maybe Daniel Dae Kim (I just really like this guy, ok) as Noatak/Amon, though that would be kinda awkward since Kim already voices Hiroshi Sato.
Also I was watching this video and I’m super confused by the fact that the creator chose nothing but white actors for these characters (and a lot of people seem to do that, not just this particular person)? Water you doing? It has been pretty clear since AtLA that this world is set in a universe based on Asian cultures. White people don’t exist in AtLA and tLoK, so why would you “cast” them for these roles?
I don’t understand?(???)

Because in our world of white-saturated leading roles, many idiots people believe that characters are white unless we are explicitly told otherwise. Even in a world like AtLA, where everything about the setting screams “WHITE PEOPLE ARE NOT TO BE FOUND HERE”, the heroes MUST be white. Even when they’re dark-skinned.
Oh and also it’s racist to have a show with no white people.
/just wrote a short paper on this/has a lot of feelings okay/also perfect fancasting, OP
