relationship tip #78: ‘babe’ and ‘baby’ are cliche and outdated. try a fun new nickname such as ‘lieutenant’ instead
And my dear, we’re still goodbying~
Remember to keep warm.
(Happy Holidays, SS Crying~♥)
This is perfect and you are perfect
Happy holidays to all fellow crewmembers!
"Hey look what I found!"
"Uhmm are you sure we are at the north pole?"
very late contribution to Lieumon week 3 that is about to end OTL, for the prompt animals/spirits. Uhm I think it’s the 4th one(Friday)
still missing saturday(vacation/holiday) sunday(everyday life) monday(sleep/dreams/nightmares)
In case you don’t know: Penguins are normally not found at the north pole or uncommon.
And there are 499 more, looks like this one’s gonna avoid the blender.
I like to think Noatak would be all excited about them since he’s never seen those before being from the north and having lived in Rc afterwards.
funny sunburnt lieumon
[ insert ”bad joke amon” here ]
It’s not any close to 28th, still an hour left even in my timezone but i fee sappy so here’s AU where Noatak is lieutenant of.. Lieu, leader of Equalists.
you know you ship it bad when you’re like
"oh look at them"
"in the same room together"
"but breathing the same air"
"that’s so great"
so I decided on the sappy epilogue to my noatak-is-reincarnated-as-a-woman au
after Korra is deposed as avatar, stability comes again to republic city, and general goodness is in the world
Noa and Lieu move back to their farm but now have more open communication with the New Equalists, building a new section onto the house for dorms so that every so often they can host some of the city kids who have never seen the countryside
during one of these trips the matron brings along a few orphans that have never been out of the city. among them is a little girl named Devi who looks younger than she actually is due to malnutrition and abuse; turns out as soon as she could make herself barely useful, her mother sold her to a factory as a worker in desperation, and she spent her time dodging abuse from the people in charge and working overly long hours darting in and out of large metal looms working to untangle the threads. due to this she’s lost most of her fingers (fortunately keeping her pointer fingers and thumbs). when the New Equalists finally found her and took her in she was pretty damn shellshocked and terrified of just about everything and everyone, and especially unwilling to speak or make any sound at all for fear of reprimand.
when they took Devi out to the countryside, though, she bloomed, looking actually happy for the first time anyone had ever seen her. Noa and Lieu pretty much adored her at first sight, and the matter was settled when the night before she was scheduled to leave, she actually said - very quietly - that she didn’t want to go. it was the first anyone had heard her speak and Noa told her very matter-of-factly that Devi could stay as long as she likes. within a few months she was calling Noa and Lieu mom and dad and running around the farm, speaking quietly but eagerly, generally still tacit but not afraid to hold her tongue anymore.
anyway, the epilogue is that after awkwardly becoming somewhat friends with the airbender crew (who came to know her first as Noa that waterbending healer before the whole whoops I’m Amon business came up), Jinora, Ikki, Tenzin and Rohan stop by on the way to the Eastern air temple thanks to a standing invitation from Noa to come help them eat some honeymelons (because that is like the one thing Noa can grow with great success in her garden and oH GOD SO MANY HONEYMELONS HELP)
so when they land Devi is pretty nervous and shy and hides behind Lieu, but Noa offers to go ahead and make them lunch (very much still in the mindset that she still owes them); Ikki and Jinora follow her (Jinora to pick her brains about some herb lore and healing salves, Ikki to just uh help taste-test the food lol). Lieu and Tenzin talk awkwardly but cordially, and Rohan bounds up to Devi and introduces himself.
Devi tends to revert to clamming up around company but Rohan doesn’t seem to point it out or think it’s weird and politely frames yes/no questions for her to answer and sits and tells her things as they all break for honeymelon. fortunately Rohan is a lot less intense and hyper than his bro Meelo and so they actually get along really well. Rohan is also looking increasingly to be the family’s only nonbender, so that probably also helps.
when the airbender family group gets ready to leave, Rohan asks if he can write letters to Devi (because pen pals are neat) and Devi nods yes super hard and runs into the house to copy down the address ALL BY HERSELF WITHOUT MOM AND DAD HELPING and hands it over to Rohan all super proud and they become pen pals and Devi helps wave goodbye while riding on daddy Lieu’s shoulders and they ride away on their sky bison
and then with that fucking sappy-ass ending the epilogue is over THE EEEEND.
gosh harp this is so sweet ;.;
